On Monday night, ABC will announce which celebs will be cha-cha-cha-ing their way through season 13 of Dancing With the Stars. But since we know you don't want to wait that long, here's the latest from the DWTS rumor mill!
According to E! Online, the show's producers are aiming for controversy this time around (inspired by Bristol Palin's success, no doubt!). David Arquette, estranged husband of Courteney Cox, is reportedly on board, and has been spotted by TMZ at the show's rehearsal studio. Chaz Bono is another rumored cast member, which could be why he's been hitting the gym lately. Other names that have been thrown into the ring include Tiffani Thiessen, Rob Kardashian, former Hills star Kristin Cavallari, and George Clooney's ex-girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis, as well as NBA players Dwyane Wade and Ron Artest.
The names above are all real possibilities, but E!'s sources report that there's one more celebrity in the wings -- one who's "far more controversial" than the others. Who could it be? Maybe they've finally signed long-rumored contestant Nadya "Octomom" Suleman? Or maybe Bristol Palin has inspired them to cast another tea party favorite -- perhaps Christine O'Donnell, who had turned them down in the past, or even Michele Bachmann (though we imagine that whole presidential campaign has her kind of busy). Then of course, there's the guy everyone is secretly hoping for: Charlie Sheen, a big star in desperate need of a DWTS-style image overhaul!
Sadly, two of the most exciting rumored stars have declared that they won't be appearing: Jersey Shore's Snooki and Queen Latifah. But we'll keep holding out for a chance to see Snooki shimmying in head-to-toe sequins. There's always next season, right?
The new cast of DWTS will be announced on Monday night during The Bachelor Pad. Season 13 premieres Sept. 19 on ABC.
