The next Halo?won?t be developed by Bungie. You already knew that. But if you thought you?d get a chance to play a multiplayer beta as has been the norm with most of the developer?s games in the series this current generation, you might not want to read past this sentence. Microsoft and 343 Industries today announced that there will, in fact, be no multiplayer beta for Halo 4.

?We plan to test both gameplay and code features rigorously and at a meaningful scale throughout the course of 2012 to ensure a great experience at launch, but we have no plans for a public multiplayer beta for Halo 4,? Microsoft told IGN.

Apparently creating and moderating a beta would mean 343 would need to devote an entire team to the project, which the developer says isn?t in the cards.
